Print and Image Availability:

All photos on this web site are available in 8x10 or larger. Some are formatted to a "full frame" 2/3 format, meaning they can only easily be sized to 4x6, 8x12, 12x18, etc.

   Note:  not all photos will be as sharp above 8x10, depending on the original image. I plan to include estimated maximum sizing recommendations in the image information windows for all images on the site over time.. Feel free to ask how large an image can be printed to and still retain it's sharpness at normal viewing distances.  I consider "normal" to be about 1-2 ft for an 8x10 and about arms length for a 10x15.

Quality note:

I use an Epson 2200 color inkjet printer, capable of prints up to 13 x 19 inches. For special orders, I will consider using the roll paper feature which can produce prints up to 13 x 44 inches. For wider image sizes than 13" I can use a local facility to print, but this will be a substantially more expensive print. The Epson 2200 uses archival quality pigment inks, allowing prints to maintain their quality and not fade for several decades. Claims up to 80 years have been made, assuming the print is not stored in the sunlight, sealed in a good quality frame, etc.

Paper types:
 

Premium Semi - gloss:	A "lusterous" paper with wide range from rich black to white. Not a true glossy finish.
Enhanced Matte Professional:	Similar to performance to premium semi-gloss, smoother texture but not a true matte fiber finish
Enhanced Matte:	A true "matte" paper finish. There are virtually no reflections on this paper, so it is a beautiful print from any angle, with the drawback being a slight loss of richness of the black areas, and perhaps a slight loss of sharpness.

Let me know if you desire a specific size in-between the above mentioned sizes. Virtually any size can be made. If  a particular paper size is not in stock, there may be an additional delay to obtain the paper.

To simplify the ordering process and ensure the customer receives the product they expected, it is recommended to only order prints (without frames).  Special Orders section below.

 

Shipping Process

Customer pays shipping, and shipping charges will be calculated after order is received. 

Process:

1. Preliminary order received
2. Shipping charge sent to customer
3. Customer authorizes order with shipping charge
4. Customer sends payment (check or money order - sorry, no credit card capability)
5.  Product(s) shipped (UPS standard, unless customer specifies other) as soon as payment is received.

• if you are looking for a particular type of photo or subject.  I have a database of over 5000 images of primarily the Puget Sound and the Northwest.

Print orders with Mattes or Frames:

Add an extra $20 to each print to have the print mounted to a single layer matte frame (with foam board backing). You will also need to specify the matte color. I recommend white or an 'off -white' cream color to beige for most photos and nature and wildlife photos especially.  Many people may find it easier to take their print to the local frame shop and have this done. 

Wood or metal frames and glass:
Similar to Matte frames, many styles are available to suit each person's decor and compliment the image. It is usually easier to go to a local frame shop with the print and have this done.  But, let me know if you desire this option, and we will try to find a frame to your liking. Pricing will depend on the frame and glass.

Final note:  I don't provide true "wet look" glossy prints unless specifically requested. These would be done through a separate printing facility.  Glossy prints are not recommended for display behind glass or another transparent surface due to double reflections.
